A week after Uma's crime, the parents of the 9-year-old girl murdered in an attempted assault in Lomas de Zamora led a
balloon release
this Monday organized by the directors of the school the victim attended.
The initiative came from Uma's own former classmates, who this year had to start fourth grade of primary school.
Finally, the authorities of the
Mario Madeddu Institute
of
Villa Centenario
decided to launch the call.
“The families of the Mariano Madeddu Institute organize a release of white balloons in tribute to Uma, on Monday, January 29 at 7 p.m. at the school door (Palacios).
“Whoever wishes can attend with the school sweater and the white balloon (if she has helium better, that's how she flies),” said the flyer that circulated in WhatsApp groups and social networks.
The tribute was carried out in front of the educational establishment.
Uma's parents were present: Patricia Bullrich's custodian
Eduardo Andrés Aguilera
(42) and his wife, also a federal police officer,
María Eugenia Rodríguez Álvarez
(41).

After the release of white balloons, the mother of the murdered girl took the microphone and, with tears in her eyes, expressed: "
I want to remember Uma with her beautiful smile
. She is going to be an angel who not only takes care of us, but also to all of us."
"We have to ask for justice for her and for all the victims of insecurity.
There cannot be more families that experience this
. Today it was my turn and tomorrow it could be someone else's turn. Please, let's continue fighting so that this insecurity ends. May God bless you all and thank you very much," he concluded.
For her part, the director of the institute, Cyntia Menéndez, remembered Uma: "If I name her, the first thing that comes to mind is
that incredible smile she had
. She was always smiling. She was a beautiful girl, a being of incredible light." .
Uma's mother expressed: "There cannot be more families that experience this"
"It's
going through grief all together
. The kids lost a couple. The family lost a daughter, a sister. We lost a student. But the idea is to be able to put the emotions into words and learn to walk together and go through the pain," he added. .
In addition, he announced that he plans that, before the holidays end and classes begin again, there will be a
special talk with the students, especially with those who were Uma's classmates
"to see how they feel and be able to start 2024 stronger." .
