Unemployed people at the end of their rights will no longer have a specific allowance, replaced by the RSA

Highlights: Prime Minister Gabriel Attal announces the end of the solidarity allowance. The allowance allowed people to contribute towards their retirement. The RSA does not allow quarters of retirement to be validated. The generalization of conditioning the RSA at 15 hours of activity per week will begin in 2025, the PM said in a general policy speech to the National Assembly. He also announced the generalization to all departments by the beginning of 2025 of the conditioning of the RSA to 15 hours a week, for integration with the rest of the country.


Prime Minister Gabriel Attal said he no longer wanted this allowance which allows one to contribute to retirement “without working”.


“We believe that retirement must be the fruit of work.”

Prime Minister Gabriel Attal announced Tuesday that unemployed people at the end of their rights would no longer have a specific solidarity allowance, which allowed them to contribute towards their retirement, in his general policy speech to the National Assembly.

The head of government will propose

“the switch of the solidarity allowance specific to the RSA and the elimination of this allowance”

.

The RSA does not allow quarters of retirement to be validated.

Gabriel Attal also announced the generalization to all departments by the beginning of 2025 of the experimentation of conditioning the RSA at 15 hours of activity per week, for integration.
