There is another threat of a traffic strike: after the train drivers and the Discover flight crew, the aviation security forces want to stop work.
Stuttgart - Passengers have to be prepared for cancellations and delays at Stuttgart Airport on Thursday.
The Verdi union has called on employees in the aviation security industry to go on a nationwide warning strike on this day.
In addition to Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Berlin, the state capital's airport is also affected.
The union announced this on Tuesday.
The Hessischer Rundfunk had previously reported on the planned industrial action.
The aviation security forces are working at the controls for passengers, baggage and personnel.
Without them, normal operation is not possible.
Air traffic is therefore likely to be paralyzed in large parts of Germany.
Verdi is demanding, among other things, higher salaries for the approximately 25,000 employees nationwide.
Collective bargaining will continue on February 6th and 7th.
According to initial information from Stuttgart Airport, departures are particularly affected.
It was initially unclear whether or how many starts would have to be canceled.
An airport spokeswoman said this still needs to be investigated.
In the winter flight schedule there are usually between 150 and 170 flight movements per day.
But landings are possible.
It was only on Monday that Verdi called for a warning strike among local public transport companies.
Seven cities in the southwest were affected on Friday: Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Heilbronn, Freiburg, Baden-Baden, Esslingen and Konstanz.
People in Germany have recently been repeatedly affected by strikes: last week, for example, a rail strike and strikes at the Lufthansa subsidiary Discover caused restrictions.
The last time there were warning strikes in aviation security was in spring 2023 - with a significant impact on operations.
Back then it was about working conditions.
