Four hundred PCs, with over 1,800 hours of video lessons intended by Rai for the 20 thousand student prisoners present in the 190 penitentiary institutions. The program "School, exercise of freedom" will be presented on Thursday 1 February, at 11 am in the prison of Civitavecchia (Via Aurelia nord, 79,500 km from Rome). ", agreement between Rai and the Ministry of Justice, which is part of the framework project "Culture breaks the bars" of Rai For Sustainability-ESG.
Speakers will include the Minister of Justice Carlo Nordio, the president of Rai Marinella Soldi, the head of the Dap Giovanni Russo, the director of Rai for Sustainability Roberto Natale, the director of Rai Cultura Silvia Calandrelli and the prison director Patrizia Bravetti.
On the 400 PCs, through special software, Rai has made the work carried out by Rai cultura for Rai scuola accessible offline for detained students who cannot access the internet: over 1,800 hours of video lessons of "La Scuola intivù", divided by subject and school level.
The presentation of the project will be held in person until available places are reached and streamed on the website www.rai.it/ ufficiostampa.
