Subsequently, the president of Crif, Yonathan Arfi, joined Arthur to ask the magazine not to invite the young woman to the trophy presentation evening planned for March.

Rima Hassan worked, until this year, as a rapporteur at the National Court of Asylum.

Arthur was likely reacting to some of Rima Hassan's following comments.
“What is happening today is contextualized in 75 years of reports of oppression, colonization and we found ourselves in an endless debate on the terrorist nature of Hamas
,” she assured with great awkwardness after the massacre. of October 7, during an interview which had already sparked controversy at the time.
She then regretted the disappearance of the Palestinian question from the French political field.
In a video from the media Le Crayon filmed on November 29, 2023, the young woman also described Hamas' action as
“legitimate”

“terrorist group”

Rima Hassan, who defends herself against any anti-Semitism or criminal apology, has since spoken out about the massacre:
