A little over 485,000 euros.
This is the estimated amount that a pharmacist based in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines) embezzled between 2018 and 2022 to the detriment of Health Insurance (CPAM).
He was summoned this Tuesday before the Versailles criminal court.
He had to explain the system of false invoices put in place during these five years, a mechanism ranging from the invoicing of non-prescribed medicines to the reimbursement of greatly increased quantities.

This son of a pharmacist, who took over the family business in 2006, was arrested around two weeks ago in his pharmacy by police officers from the Saint-Germain-en-Laye police station and the interministerial research group (GIR) responsible for jointly carrying out the investigations.
While in police custody, he admitted the facts, while hiding behind teletransmission problems and rejections of reimbursements attributable to the CPAM.
