The head of the Mitar local council, Shimon Mazuz, went up to deliver the eulogy, but was unable to hold back the tears over the death of the resident and left the stage.

Many told about his broad heart as his sturdy body.

"Thanks to heroes like Rani, there were no unknown deaths"

Lieutenant Colonel Guy Medar, who fought with Rani until his death, said: "I didn't get to know Rani before that Saturday. But that day our fates were linked. My first meeting with Rani, before the fighting, was when a terrorist vehicle passed us. We fired at the vehicle and after As he continued driving, we wondered where he would go: to Netivot, to Kibbutz Sa'ad? I jumped in the car to follow him, and suddenly a burly soldier, a policeman I don't know, got into my car. At that point I didn't even know his name."

"We were in Madraf. On the way we stopped at Saad's gas station, we removed nearly 50 guys from the party. I don't know if you know how many worlds Rani saved. During all this happening inside the station, Rani keeps telling me that there is a mess in the worlds and we have to go back. An ordinary person - his nature is to run away from danger. With a heroic guy like Rani, it was the other way around."

"We got into the car and drove to Alumim. In the area we walked into a serious ambush. We were both kidnapped. We crashed the car, so we got out and took care of ourselves. Only when we got out did I realize how big and strong the guy was. In those moments it impressed me. He had an unusual composure."

"It's clear to me that most of the people here know Rani better than I do, but to be with a person in such a situation - I don't think there are many who can say they've won that. I was with him in the essence of his life. In the coolness that beat me: whether it helped with the strength of my arteries or the last drop of water he brought me And there's a big chance that she saved me later. He really is a hero. I call him Magen Alumim, because it's true. None of the residents of Alumim were killed. Everyone understands the space and what happened there. Thanks to heroes like Rani, no one was killed in Alumim. That right will be his forever. May we get to walk in his ways."

"You fight with your thoughts and prepare for the worst"

His sister Shira, in her painful voice, told about her older brother, the hero of her life: "For 116 days I have been wondering what happened to you. Are you being abused, are you cold, are you in pain, are you having a hard time? For 116 days I have been fighting with my own thoughts and preparing for the worst , imagining your release, and about the story you were supposed to tell us - telling me what you're worried about was fun for me. Because even in the bad you'll try to find the good."

"Last night the worries ended. The worst happened. If they asked you, you would say that you would do it again a million times. Because you are a true warrior. All these years you guarded and protected me from all harm. Protecting me was your life's mission. And you succeeded. I promise you that I will live A happy and joyful life and I will fulfill all my dreams, yours, father's and mother's. Take care of us all from above."

After his death, Goyili was promoted to first sergeant major.

He left behind a pair of parents, Itzik and Tilik and two brothers, Omri and Shira.
