At its most recent meeting, the Hohenpeißenberg local council unanimously approved the change to the “Stoffelhof special area” development plan.

The horse nutrition company “iWEST”, which is known throughout Europe, is based in Hohen Peißenberg.

Hohenpeißenberg – Mayor Thomas Dorsch always emphasized how important the Hohenpeißenberg company “iWEST” is for the town when the local council discussed changing the development plan for the “Stoffelhof special area”.

“The company 'iWEST' is absolutely systemically relevant for the place.

Without you, a lot of things wouldn’t work anymore,” said Dorsch when the change was discussed for the first time in the local council in the summer.

Change should bring planning security

On Wednesday, the topic was probably the last time on the agenda for the foreseeable future.

The local council unanimously approved the change.

“We are happy that we can now put a stop to this process,” said Dorsch.

A plan has now been drawn up “which will hopefully enable you to work well at the Stoffelhof”.

The company tried to develop a sustainable solution for the company.

As already reported, the change to the development plan was initiated so that the company has further development opportunities.

“With this fourth change, we wanted to create planning security for operations in the medium term,” said the head of the municipal building authority, Stefan Fischer, about the new plan in the summer: The administration had decided “on a big hit”.

Before the development plan was approved, the comments received by the community as part of the second interpretation were discussed.

Overall, these were just minor comments and changes that were made.

The nature conservation authority at the district office, for example, criticized the fact that on the list of existing trees some varieties were described as “native and appropriate to the location”, but that although they were native, they were not appropriate to the location.

As a result, as suggested by the authority, the word “site-appropriate” was deleted.

The first plan was drawn up in 2000

The first plan was drawn up around 2000.

The Schongau architect Dietmar Hörner was commissioned with the fourth change.

He presented the plans to the local council at the time.

He spoke of a “completely new paper”.

In total, the area of application of the development plan is now 2.7 hectares.

The changed plan also includes a 1,235 square meter expansion area on which, among other things, a new hall could be built.

More parking spaces are to be added to the current 25, so that there will ultimately be 60.

It is also possible to build an underground car park.

As before, five residential units on the Stoffelhof have been included in the new development plan.

Four residential units already exist and another could be built.

As well as a chapel, which has been included in the plan for some time.

“This is a clear signal to the company 'iWEST'.

We are glad that you are working in Hohenpeißenberg,” said Dorsch, when the resolution was passed in the direction of the company’s managing director, Matthias Meyer, who was at the meeting as a visitor: “We are glad that we are in Hohenpeißenberg,” Meyer said.
