After winning the fourth season, Benoît Dubois aimed for a career in television.
From (fleeting) TV presenter with the shows “Le Daily Mag” and “Le Mag de la tele-été” on NRJ12 to columnist in “TPMP People” on C8, he finally reconnected with his first loves by agreeing to participate in the final season of “Apprentis aventuriers”.

The reality TV show based on survival and the physical challenges were by no means a personal ambition.
“
I went there for the money,”
he revealed at the start of the Jordan Deluxe show.
Before continuing by detailing his professional situation at the time:
“At the end of August, my return to school was mediocre, I no longer had C8, I no longer had a TPMP People show”.
Indeed, the weekly talk hosted by Matthieu Delormeau was suspended following the announcement of the presenter's departure.

The production of the program presented by Laurent Maistret then contacted him offering to join the cast accompanied by Julie Ricci, also a former candidate for “Secret Story”.
And if Benoît Dubois was afraid of being “ridiculous” or “too old” to appear in a reality TV show, he finally accepted.
“I had never spit on reality TV.
They offer me money.
I had property tax.
This was the main reason, I make no secret of it.

This sum - which allowed him to pay his
"tax regularization"
and his
"property tax"
- amounted to "2700 euros per week".
Given that his adventure lasted three weeks, the participant received a total amount of 8,100 euros.
On the other hand, he lamented having
“seen nothing of this money”
before putting things into perspective by declaring: “
but that didn’t put me in the red”.
“There are some people who have financial problems.
I'm so lucky that someone came to get me.
I have a star, every time I manage to save myself from things
,” he admits, aware of being privileged.
A decision that ultimately proved wise.
In addition to being able to regularize his financial situation, he said he had a lot of fun on the set.
