A good 100 farmers from the district are protesting on the B 471 and the A 8 against the federal government's agricultural policy.
Dachau – Numerous farmers from the Dachau district also took part in the nationwide farmers’ protest on Wednesday.
According to Georg Großmann-Neuhäusler from Pasenbach, who acted as spokesman for the campaign, a good 40 agricultural vehicles blocked the A 8 driveway near Odelzhausen, and 30 more tractors were at the Sulzemoos driveway.

According to spokesman Großmann-Neuhäusler, the reaction of the other road users to the protest was consistently “peaceful to positive”.
So “no one complained”, at most a “thumbs up” was given out the window.
A spokeswoman for the Upper Bavaria North police headquarters in Ingolstadt also confirmed that the farmers' protest in the Odelzhausen, Sulzemoos and Bergkirchen areas was peaceful and “without any special incidents”.
It is true that “gatherings with several vehicles” took place at the motorway entrances.
However, in consultation with the local police and assembly authorities, traffic there was “reopened again and again in order to avoid major traffic jams”.
However, the “moving gathering” in the Gada area led to traffic disruptions.
The demonstration in the area of the Dachau/Fürstenfeldbruck junction also “resulted in temporary backlogs on federal highway 471”.
All in all, according to the police spokeswoman, the protest participants and road users all adhered to police instructions.

According to farmer Großmann-Neuhäusler, the will of his colleagues to protest against the federal government's agricultural policy remains unbroken.
After all, the latest actions are no longer just about the planned cuts in agricultural diesel.
“It’s about a lot more,” says the Pasenbacher.
His profession suffers from bureaucracy and ever new requirements, especially regarding set-aside and animal husbandry.
“It’s just the big picture,” says Großmann-Neuhäusler.

The district farmers are upset that the protests are so well received by the population, but receive little support from the traffic light government.
Großmann-Neuhäusler emphasizes that he and his colleagues will continue their protest.
What he rules out, however, is that the district farmers are following their French colleagues in their protest.
In the neighboring country, for example, entire streets were torn up, streets were blocked with burning straw bales and manure was dumped in front of administrative buildings.
Such brutal protest “is not our request,” says Georg Großmann-Neuhäusler.
