A BMW driver from the Dachau district crashed into a tree on Tuesday around 1 p.m. due to a medical emergency.
Two first aiders freed the 56-year-old and resuscitated him.
The man died in the hospital.
Dachau – A 56-year-old man from the Dachau district died in hospital after an accident on Tuesday afternoon.
The Upper Bavaria-Nord Police Headquarters (PPO) announced this on Wednesday.
The BMW driver was on Freisinger Straße towards Hebertshausen on Tuesday around 1 p.m.
Shortly after the end of Dachau, the BMW driver veered off the road to the right.
According to police, the cause was a medical emergency.
The BMW crashed into a tree at the bottom of the embankment.
According to the PPO and the Dachau Volunteer Fire Department, the first responders reacted in an exemplary manner.
Because the driver's door couldn't be opened from the outside, they broke the rear window, got to the driver and were able to free him.
The first responders resuscitated the man until the Dachau fire department arrived and took over the resuscitation.
The emergency services took the man to hospital under ongoing resuscitation, where he tragically died.
The Dachau fire brigade secured the accident site and closed the section of road until the rescue work was completed.
