A BMW in a parking lot on Wasserburger Landstrasse fell victim to a fire.
The owner was not on site.
Concerned passers-by alerted the fire department in Waldtrudering on Wednesday (January 31) around 10:25 a.m.: A car in a parking lot on Wasserburger Landstrasse appeared to be on fire.

He completely burned out.

Passers-by called the fire department because they noticed smoke coming from the hood
As the fire department reports, a passer-by noticed that there was smoke coming from the hood of the BMW and called the emergency number.
A fire engine was sent to the scene in Waldtrudering.
Other passersby on site showed the emergency services who arrived the exact location of the smoking vehicle in the parking lot.

The fire brigade was able to extinguish the fire - what is left is probably a total loss
The emergency services immediately extinguished the engine compartment, from which flames were already coming.
To get to the source of the fire, they opened the hood and were able to completely extinguish the fire.
An owner was not on site.
According to initial assessments by the fire department, the vehicle was probably a total loss.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
