One person injured in traffic accident: school bus left the road.

A serious accident occurred on Wednesday (January 31st) near Marktredwitz.
A school bus crashed into a tree.
One person was injured.
Marktredwitz – A tragic accident occurred on Wednesday (January 31st) in Marktredwitz (Wunsiedel district).
A school bus driver drove into a tree on the local road shortly before Lorenzreuth and, according to initial information, one person was injured.
The driver lost control of his bus and landed in a ditch
“According to initial findings, the cause was probably a health or medical issue,” says Jan Weidhas, head of operations for the Marktredwitz police.
Due to health problems, the driver probably lost control of his vehicle and left the road.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
The bus drove over the curb of the road and came to a stop in a group of trees on the shoulder.

The accident triggered a huge rescue operation
According to the police, there were passengers on the bus at the time of the accident - “there were also children on the bus,” reports the operations manager.
At least one person was injured.
The accident triggered a major operation: several rescue vehicles and a rescue helicopter were deployed - but fortunately this was not needed.
Due to the accident, traffic was disrupted and a diversion was made.
The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
