On the distributor side, the Minister of the Economy will

“launch 500 checks on the 5 main distributors”

“We will go through each of the provisions and check that they respect the Egalim law, in particular for the remuneration of farmers”

,” insists Bruno Le Maire, as commercial negotiations between distributors and manufacturers conclude this Wednesday evening.

European purchasing centers, at the heart of the debates, are also targeted by the minister:

“I am going to launch and strengthen specific controls on European centers in relation to the Egalim law.”

Bruno Le Maire also recalls that the rules of this law apply in France but also to these power plants located in other European countries.

He notably recalls having already sanctioned the Leclerc group to the tune of six million euros for breaches of the Egalim law.
