Farmers' protest on Wednesday with traffic disruptions in the Miesbach district on Wednesday: BBV criticizes the traffic light government

“In order to plug budget holes, the traffic light coalition wanted to ask agricultural businesses to pay around one billion euros more per year by abolishing the agricultural diesel refund and the vehicle tax exemption,” criticizes the BBV.

“Immediately after the plans became known, we took to the streets together; the solidarity gave the farmers’ protest a previously unknown dimension,” says BBV President Günther Felßner.

After the protests of the past few weeks, the vehicle tax exemption is to be retained, but agricultural diesel is to be gradually abolished by 2026.

“These proposals are absolutely out of the question; agricultural diesel must stay.

That’s why the protests continue,” says BBV President Günther Felßner.

Together with “Agriculture connects Bavaria”, the BBV is calling for action.

Therefore, disruptions are to be expected at many motorway junctions between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

“The events were registered in advance and discussed with the authorities and police,” explains the BBV.

“The police will accompany and control the actions flexibly and appropriately at the motorway entrances.

Where there are temporary closures, traffic will be opened at regular intervals.”
