At its most recent meeting, the Miesbach city council appointed members for the district town's first youth parliament.
Eight volunteers will join the newly created committee.
Miesbach - You should introduce and represent the interests of young people there.
The corresponding statutes for the youth parliament were passed by the city council at the end of November 2023.
A total of eight valid applications were received by the city's electoral office, which were sent to the youth parliament without a ballot.
The representatives in the first Miesbach youth parliament are: Lucia Hirsch, Xaver Bernöcker, Frederik Hilbich, Noah Hormaier, Leopold Mayr-Mautner as well as Anton, Linus and Paul Weidelener.
They were unanimously appointed by the city council for the term of office 2024 to 2026.
The election was void
According to the statutes, the youth parliament has a minimum of five representatives and a maximum of eleven.
Since the number of applicants did not exceed eleven places, there was no need for a regular voting process for young people.
Youth representative Christian Mittermaier (CSU) confessed that he, along with family representative Malin Friese (Greens), district youth worker Lena Renner and initiator Andreas Kempf, were very proud of the new committee.
Markus Seemüller (Free List) motivated the youth representatives: “Hang up the basket.
I think what you’re doing is great.” The constituent meeting will take place in February.
