For the 153rd time, members of the Parsberg Volunteer Fire Department met for the general meeting.

In the traditional costume clubhouse, the focus was not only on reports, but also on a special honor that was bestowed on Sebastian Seebacher.

Parsberg - He has been part of the Parsberg fire department since 1964, where he worked as a machinist and chief extinguisher, worked as a secretary and today holds the office of auditor.

As chairman and deputy chairman, he steered the club's fortunes for many years.

He has now been awarded the title of honorary chairman for 59 years of membership in the club, his commitment in office and his many achievements.

Andreas Thrainer Honorary Commander

However, the honors item on the agenda was not yet completed.

Andreas Thrainer was appointed honorary commander by the two commanders Florian Creator and his deputy Florian Wernberger.

To present this award, the entire active team of the Parsberger Wehr went to Thrainer's home to surprise him.

He can also look back on 40 years of active fire service, for which he was honored.

Oliver Sachstetter was also honored for 30 years of service, and Martin Schönberger looks back on 25 years of active fire service, for which Mayor Gerhard Braunmiller thanked him in addition to the two commanders.

Maximilian Wagner was also honored for ten years of service to the fire department.

Thanks for the effort

Braunmiller thanked the fire department for their commitment to serving the public.

He also praised the youth work in the armed forces.

For two years, Parsberg's fire department has had 15 girls and boys who practice diligently.

40 missions with 283 hours of operation were carried out in 2023.

25 exercises for the active participants and 13 for the youth were carried out.

The fire department has a total of 654 hours of training.

District fire inspector Florian Dirscherl also acknowledged this.

He also praised the comrades for their daily alert strength.

He hopes that the new construction of the tool shed will result in greater efficiency.

When looking back on the past year, the spectacular competition at the Bavaria Ninja in Elbach, in which Maximilian Wagner won third place for the Parsberg fire department, could of course not be missed.

Another nice memory was the trip by the vintage car enthusiasts to benefit the inclusion playground at Nordgraben, in which the Parsberger Wehr took part with the club's own T1 vintage bus.

Looking back, it was still a very nice event that made many children very happy.
