After an inaugural stop in Saint-Denis, the Climate and Biodiversity Tour makes a stopover, from this Wednesday evening until Friday, at the Agora of Nanterre.
Supported by the Weather and Climate association, itself chaired by climatologist Jean Jouzel, this traveling exhibition has a triple ambitious objective: to make people understand the reasons for climate change, to reflect on our choices for future societies and to provide the keys to understanding, decide and act.
Originality of this event, completely free, it is imagined, designed and hosted by scientists and researchers.
“The exhibition is produced in partnership with the National Museum of Natural History and with contributions from the Office for Climate Education, experts from the French Office for Biodiversity and a group of scientists,” she explains. -on to the association.
The content has been designed to facilitate debate and the appropriation of issues for varied audiences, both connoisseurs and novices.

“The presence of scientists gives another dimension to the project”
These scientists, renamed for the occasion “Messengers of climate and biodiversity”, accompany visitors, young and old, throughout the exhibition to dialogue, answer questions or discuss the themes that interest them.
“This project is distinguished by the central role of scientists in the design of the exhibition and in supporting visitors,” observes Serge Planton, scientific manager of the project.
Their presence and availability will undoubtedly give another dimension to the tour.

And of course, schoolchildren are not forgotten.
The operation's partner establishments host scientific workshops with simple manipulation to understand the phenomena of climate change and the impacts on biodiversity.
“This exhibition speaks to everyone but we put a little more emphasis on the younger generations” we recognize at the Weather and Climate association.
“The presentation of scientific results and the exchanges with the scientists who are present at each stage allow us to create, we hope, avenues of reflection in each visitor in order to encourage all generations to take action,” explains Jean Jouzel .
It's a real tour of the imagination!
Let us remember, every effort, every decision counts: it is not too late to put in place what will limit global warming.
