, better known on the web as “Líbero”, had been wanted since 2017. That year he was accused of having
stolen the Federal Police database

Cap Leacks
".
He also for having attacked the social media profile of the Minister of Security,
Patricia Bullrich.
After six years of persecution, the computer criminal
was arrested
in the Juniors neighborhood in the city of
Córdoba
.
When he was captured, they kidnapped a large amount of cash (pesos and dollars) and high-end cars.
But they are not the only crimes in which Vélez Cheratto is involved.
There were computer leaks in
San Carlos de Bariloche
and also a series of scams when he posed as a representative of the National Road Safety Agency (ANSV) and demanded payment of traffic fines from the victims.
Through several months of data cross-checking, federal agents determined that the scams described bore the signature of
Líbero
.
And the information provided by the criminal to his victims (the bank details where he requested payment of the apocryphal debts) was key to being able to find the real whereabouts of the hacker.
The criminal was arrested in a house in the Juniors neighborhood, in the capital of Córdoba.
He had with him
5,700,000 pesos in cash and about 500 dollars
.
In addition, they seized two high-end cars and numerous computer elements with which it is presumed that he carried out his crimes.

The Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, celebrated the work of federal agents in capturing Libero on social media.
