It's a terrible discovery that could hide a sordid affair.
Saturday January 27, a completely charred body was discovered by a passer-by who was walking near Corot Park, a city in the 13th arrondissement of Marseille.
As revealed by BFM Marseille Provence and confirmed to Le
Figaro
by the Marseille prosecutor's office, this corpse was autopsied and quickly identified as belonging to a 27-year-old woman.
As mentioned in numerous media, the victim was known to the police for acts prior to his death, but had been acquitted and exonerated following this affair, as confirmed to Le
Figaro
by the public prosecutor of Marseille, Nicolas Bessone.
Investigation opened for “assassination”
A police source told Le
Figaro
that the young woman was strangled before being burned, confirming the criminal nature of the facts.
Corot Park, a city in the northern districts of Marseille, is however devoid of a deal point known to the authorities.
A blatant investigation into the
“assassination”
charge was opened by the Marseille prosecutor's office and entrusted to the Organized and Specialized Crime Division (DCOS).
