Speaker at the Tölz CSU New Year's reception: Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann.

Bad Tölz - The topic of internal and external security was the focus of the CSU New Year's reception, to which the Bad Tölz local association had invited people to the Kolberbräu.
The competent speaker was Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann, who announced during his speech that the Tölzer mountain rescue center for training and safety would be expanded this year for 15 million euros in state funds (we reported).
Representatives from the mountain rescue service, water rescue service, fire department, police and Bundeswehr have been practicing there for years.
Herrmann came to the district town at the invitation of his personal advisor, the Tölzer CSU local chairman Severin Eichenseher, who was newly elected last year.
Last year, Prime Minister and CSU chairman Markus Söder was even lured into the rocky jailhouse.
This time everything took place on a smaller scale in Kolberbräu, but Eichenseher and the mayor of Tölz, Ingo Mehner, were still able to welcome numerous members of the CSU.
Martin Bachhuber steps in for Thomas Holz
The CSU state parliament member Thomas Holz, who was suffering from flu, was represented by his predecessor Martin Bachhuber, which prompted Herrmann to remark that Kochler would probably still have to get used to the climate in the Maximilianeum.
In any case, Herrmann proved to be quite a humorous speaker when he remarked that his office employee Eichenseher didn't have to put much pressure on him to lure him to the CSU's legendary New Year's reception in Bad Tölz.
“What could be nicer than going to Tölz on a Saturday evening,” asked the 67-year-old with a mischievous smile.
He will come back in February to present the expansion of the mountain rescue center.

Herrmann spent the rest of the evening focusing on internal and external security, often speaking in general terms about the successes since he took office 15 years ago.
“Left-wing chaotics” who would occupy houses would have no chance in Bavaria, unlike other federal states.

The CSU politician did not mention the coalition with the Free Voters in Bavaria or even its chairman Hubert Aiwanger, but contrasted the climate activists with “the good and peaceful farmers” who registered their demos and followed the rules of the game.
Finally, there was a plea for the Bundeswehr to counterbalance Vladimir Putin in Moscow, otherwise there would be a risk of further military conflicts with the West.
Eichenseher, who wants to run in the European elections this June, wished everyone “a boring year,” after all, there is enough excitement at the moment.
Finally, Mayor Ingo Mehner called for increased discussion and to respect the opinions of others and “learn from them”.
