A hellish night endured… for no apparent reason.
A 23-year-old young man, kidnapped in Rezé, in the Nantes metropolitan area, on the night of Saturday January 27 to Sunday January 28, was saved at the last minute, in the space of a few hours, thanks to a lightning intervention by the Brigade anti-crime (BAC) of Nantes.
An operation carried out at the end of an eventful night to say the least.
The first sequence of this nighttime chase opens around midnight, when several residents of the Pont-Rousseau district, in the east of Rezé, witness a violent altercation.
Several corroborating testimonies alerted the police.
They told the police that several individuals with masked faces had just forcibly dragged the victim into an Audi city car, before fleeing.
The police units on the bridge that evening were immediately placed on alert.
The hunt begins.

A successful hunt
A game of cat and mouse begins in the sleepy streets of Rezé.
Inside the suspect vehicle, tempers are agitated.
The bodies too.
Around 12:30 a.m., the young man managed to escape from his kidnappers' car, in the north of Saint-Herblain.
His escape is short-lived.
His captors catch up with him, tighten his restraints and this time lock him in the trunk of the car.

The night hunt continues with these new clues.
It ends around 2 a.m., at the other end of the city, in the Nantes district of Beaujoire.
The BAC stopped the vehicle, released the victim and arrested two hooded individuals, aged 20 and 17, who were on board at the time.
Money, more than 2,000 euros, was discovered in the passenger compartment, while the suspects were finally taken into custody.
The day after their interrogation at the Nantes criminal center, the kidnappers were indicted on Monday for charges of kidnapping, sequestration, violence, money laundering and attempted extortion, the prosecutor
of
the Republic of Nantes, Renaud Gaudeul.
Beaten on the night of hell, the victim was given ten days of temporary work interruption.
She was unable or unwilling to provide details on the context leading to her kidnapping.

,” comments – off microphone – a police source.
The two suspects are now in pre-trial detention.
