Garching - In its most recent meeting, the Garching city council dealt with a whole series of citizens' proposals that were submitted at the citizens' meetings in Garching and Hochbrück.
An overview of the concerns.
Accepted applications
The application: An application
is being made to set up a search portal for exercise offers in Garching, which can be filtered by type of activity, location and time.
The portal should be similar to the federal government's Movementlandkarte.de, which is only accessible to clubs, but in contrast should also be accessible to commercial providers and not just clubs.
The administration's statement
: The city supports such an institution, but it involves costs and maintenance of a platform.
The administration is currently busy with digitization projects, so there is currently no capacity available.
However, other municipalities should be asked whether such a platform is used and alternatives to Movementlandkarte.de should be sought that do not require active cooperation on the part of the city.
The request:
The back of the Maibaumplatz subway entrance is often blocked by wheels in such a ruthless manner that wheelchair users in particular cannot get through and are forced to take a detour.
One suggestion would be to add a white line to limit the wheel part.
The administration's statement:
The application should be discussed at the meeting of the building, planning and environmental committee.

Despite the limited space, the administration believes it is possible to upgrade the outdoor play options.
However, the location and type of playground equipment must be agreed upon with the school management in advance.
The proposal:
A sidewalk should be created from the Aral gas station on Schleißheimer Straße in Hochbrück to Unterschleißheim.
The administration's statement
: Additional private land is required to extend the sidewalk towards B 13.
The city has tried to buy the land several times in the past, but now wants to approach the property owners again.
The application:
The circulation barrier should be reinstated on the cycle path on the Schleißheimer Canal.
The administration's statement:
The barrier was in place before the SWM high-pressure gas control system was replaced.
It serves the safety of visitors to the recreation park who want to get there via the High Bridge; it can be restored.
The application:
Measures should be taken to structurally prevent trucks from parking on Schleißheimer Straße between Aldi and Golden Wok.
The administration's statement:
Barrier posts or guide beacons could be used to narrow the roadway between the entrances and exits, preventing parking.

: The district office does not support signage for various reasons - there is no such sign in the traffic sign catalog for the StVO, and the police are also against it.
Public relations work has already taken place and will continue to take place in the future, so that no additional resolution is required.
The application:
After crossing the North-West Ring, the Am See cycle path ends directly on the road from Garching to Eching.
At this point we ask that you make a safe transition to the cycle path opposite.
The danger sign is also too close to the crossing aid.
The administration's statement:
The danger signs were incorrectly installed by the company carrying out renovation work.
The error will be corrected promptly.
Regarding a safe crossing aid: There is a structural crossing aid in the affected section of the route.

The request:
The presentation of all speakers at the citizens' meeting should be limited to one and a half hours.
The administration's statement:
In the future, the mayor will limit the lecture part of the speakers to a maximum of one and a half hours.
Therefore, no speaking time should be decided.
The application:
Funds should be allocated for sidewalk renovations in Hochbrück.
The administration's statement:
The sidewalks are certainly not in a good condition due to the many excavations, but they are safe for traffic.
As soon as renovation is necessary, the committees must decide which covering will be used.
