A group of bandits attacked a cash van this morning along state road 131, at the crossroads for Siligo in the province of Sassari.
The criminals opened fire, wounding a security guard in the leg and set fire to a vehicle.
They fled chased by the carabinieri of the Bonorva Company.
Four other people were also injured in a rear-end collision, all of whom were rescued by 118.
The highway is blocked in both directions and the military is engaged in a manhunt along the roads of the province, with numerous checkpoints.
