Highlights: The Boandlkramer becomes king of carnival in the Dachau district. Every year, the Langenpettenbach boys' and girls' clubs put a lot of effort into designing an imaginative car. The two clubs try to keep the costs for the car low every year; this year the material cost just under 1,000 euros. They recoup the expenses through other sources of income, such as Hangover Night, which takes place again on March 23rd this year.

When the fifth season starts with the carnival parades, the themed floats attract everyone's attention.

The car hobbyists have a lot of imagination.

Arnzell – Loud music and booming hammer blows come from the hall in Arnzell, where the boys and girls from Langenpettenbach are busy working on their car.

It will be the last time they meet before the carnival on Monday evening - the final touches are still missing: "Little things at the front for the unit and building an archway," says Andreas Pögl, chairman of the boys' club.

“And the system was still connected so that the music works.”

Everything from the space shuttle to the fairytale forest was there

Andreas Pögl himself has been with the Langenpettenbach boys' club for seven years, since he was 15.

And he has already helped build a few carnival floats.

Every year, the Langenpettenbach boys' and girls' clubs put a lot of effort into designing an imaginative car; everything from a space shuttle to a fairytale forest has been included.

One of her favorite carnival floats so far was the Pumuckl, of course also from her own production.

This year the young people at the Christmas party chose the theme “Boandlkramer”.

“We always propose different topics at the youth meeting and vote on them.” Since then, they have been working on it once or twice a week, and the end result was well worth the hard work: enchanted paintings decorate the eight-meter-long wagon, a rustic wooden hut reflects it Brandner Kasper's residence is back in style, and the platform offers enough space for everyone.

It was built together: While the boys usually take more care of the construction of the car, the girls take care of the beautiful decorations and paint it.

Together, the members of the girls' club thought about how they would best design the carnival float.

“First we primed the car and then thought about what exactly we wanted to paint on it,” says Anna Reisner, who has been the chairwoman since this year.

The result: the Boandlkramer with his ladder cart and a “customer” driving through the forest.

We work hand in hand throughout the evenings

We work hand in hand for long evenings, which is usually a lot of fun.

The best thing about building carnival floats is “that you can see that something works,” says Andreas Pögl.

And of course sitting together after hard work is very popular.

Often everyone orders something to eat and ends the evening comfortably.

When asked what they would all dress up as, most answered: Boandlkramer, that's where you can "dress the warmest".

The two clubs try to keep the costs for the car low every year; this year the material cost just under 1,000 euros.

They then recoup the expenses through other sources of income, such as Hangover Night, which takes place again on March 23rd this year.

They also use the same basic car frame every year, which saves money and, above all, time.

So a few changes are made every year according to the motto - and your car is ready.

The Langenpettenbach boys and girls are taking part in all four parades this year (see box on the left).

There will be another test drive next Friday to make sure everything is working well.

For the carnival parades, they hope for good weather, that nothing happens to anyone and “that next year you will still remember how cool it was!” said Anna Reisner before her first carnival as chairwoman.

And of course – a “great fun”!
