Griselda Blanco
once again became a topic of conversation in Latin America after the arrival on
Netflix
of the miniseries Griselda in which Colombian actress Sofía Vergara plays the protagonist.
It is said that the "Godmother of cocaine", the one who founded the Medellín Cartel (Colombia) in the mid-seventies, killed for the first time at the age of 12.
She is credited with around 250 deaths

But one day he died the same way he killed.

The last day of Griselda Blanco
In 2012, Griselda had been living clandestinely in Colombia for years.
She had been released in 2004 for health reasons and deported to her native country to settle there.
After a period of relative peace, on September 3 of that year his life would end tragically.
During the afternoon of September 3, the 69-year-old woman left a butcher shop along with her pregnant ex-daughter-in-law and two hitmen on a motorcycle intercepted her.
One of them, approximately 25 years old, got out of the vehicle and shot him twice in the head

They killed Griselda in the same way that she ordered the use of her hitmen during her drug mandate.
Griselda Blanco was murdered in 2012. She was 69 years old.
Blanco had just spent 300 thousand pesos on meat at a place called Cardiso located on the corner of 30th Street. The hitman who shot him got back on the motorcycle and disappeared from sight.
With the help of her former daughter-in-law, who was unharmed by the attack, Blanco was transferred to the Belén Intermediate Unit, where she finally died.
Although the causes of her murder are not confirmed, it is believed that Blanco was murdered for a
settling of scores
.
On the day of her funeral, the Godmother was farewelled by a crowd.
Eight men carried the coffin in which his body was found on their shoulders from the altar of the Jardines Montesacro temple to the field where they buried him.
Strikingly, before being forever underground, a group of mariachis sang the song “Eternal Love.”

In a 2008 article about the drug lord's criminal career, the Miami News Times confirmed that her oldest children (Dixon, Uber and Osvaldo) were brutally murdered "allegedly in retaliation" by Blanco's enemies.
Dixon, the eldest, was shot to death shortly after gaining freedom, in 1992. The reasons and how are unknown, however the Netflix series suggests that it was after an attack on a public street.
Uber would have been killed in an alleged settling of scores while he was in prison.
And Osvaldo, or "Ozzie," as he was known, was apparently murdered in a bowling alley by a group of hitmen.
The fourth son: Michael Corleone

, is alive and is said to have resisted seven attacks against him.
Today he lives in the United States with his wife Marie and his three children.
Michael, named after the character in the movie The Godfather, was a regular on Instagram, a social network where he had more than 200,000 followers.
In Griselda it is said that Michael was kept away from his mother's dirty business thanks to his father, Darío, who would later be murdered in Medellín by two men dressed as police officers.
It is believed that Blanco would have had something to do with his death.
Michael is Blanco's only living son.
Today, Michaek runs a social brand called Pure Blanco and owns the cannabis company Blanco Family Fincas.
