But they remain at a low level.

Unemployment numbers in the region rose in January.

In the agency in Rosenheim, this is attributed to the weather-related exemptions.

District

- In January, the number of unemployed people in the Rosenheim employment agency area rose from 8,620 to 9,820.

This corresponds to an increase of 0.4 percentage points to 3.1 percent in the districts of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, Miesbach and in the city and district of Rosenheim.

Viewed in isolation, the rate in the Miesbach district with 1,714 citizens registered as unemployed is 3.0 percent.

That is 0.3 percentage points more than in December.

At 57.6 percent, the majority of the unemployed are male, which the employment agency explains in its press release with weather-dependent professions.

These include jobs in civil engineering, in the management of vehicle and transport equipment, in agriculture, animal husbandry, forestry and horticulture.

According to the agency, more men than women work in these so-called outside jobs, in which employees are sometimes released over the winter.

The employment agency points to a “job turbo” for foreigners

18.7 percent of those registered are long-term unemployed, 7.2 percent of the total are severely disabled people.

The proportion of foreigners among the unemployed was 31.6 percent in January.

In the announcement, Nicole Cujai, chairwoman of the management board, also reminds us of the federal government's “Job Turbo” program.

Anyone who has completed an integration course and has access to the labor market should be able to start work more quickly and in the long term.

Information about this can be found at www.arbeitsagentur.de/k/job-turbo.

There is still no shortage of opportunities to find work.

With 4,550 registered positions across the entire area, there are many offers even compared to previous years.

The same applies to the area of training.

With over 3,000 open positions, the 1,220 applicants have a mathematical choice of 2.4 training positions per person.
