A drone manufacturer from the greater Munich area is providing the Ukrainian capital Kiev with a large number of drones.
They are also said to be suitable for the battlefield.
Gilching - The defenders are currently in a difficult phase in the Ukraine war: Most recently, Kremlin autocrat Vladimir Putin's Russian invasion army was able to advance on several front sections in the east of the battered country.
Weapons for Ukraine: Manufacturer near Munich supplies Kiev with reconnaissance drones
While it is unclear how the military conflict will continue, a Hungarian right-wing extremist has even mused about his country annexing Ukrainian territories.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian armed forces continue to stubbornly defend their homeland against the attack by Russia, which violates international law.
For this defense, the Ukrainians are now receiving the next delivery from Germany, more precisely from Upper Bavaria.
As the online portal
Defense Express (DE)
writes, the German company Quantum-Systems from Gilching near Munich is delivering 100 “Trinity” reconnaissance drones to the Kiev city administration.
DE
is close to the Ukrainian army and often receives first-hand information from them.
In this case, city administration probably means the military administration of the territorial defense forces, which secure the country alongside the regular army.
Drones from Upper Bavaria: Not intended for direct combat use
According to manufacturer Quantum Systems, the Trinity is a battery-operated drone with a total weight of five kilograms and a payload of 0.7 kilograms.
It has a wingspan of 2.4 meters and 90 minutes of flight time at a speed of up to 70 km/h.
The drone, which has been in series production since 2018, is powered by three pivoting propellers.

The Trinity, which takes off and lands vertically, can carry laboratory samples or medication, for example, and because of the latter property is theoretically also suitable for the battlefield.
However, it is not intended for combat use by mounting grenades.
Instead, it is designed for patient educational work.
Drones for Ukraine: Determining damage after Russian attacks
As Quantum Systems writes, the Trinity F90+ model was used, for example, under the leadership of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK) after the flood disaster in the Ahr Valley (July 14, 2021).
After the massive floods, several communities, including Altenburg, Altenahr, Reimerzhoven, Rech and Dernau, were surveyed from the air to get an overview of the damage and affected areas.
DE
reports that the drones are generally suitable for assessing damage in combat.
They can be used to accurately map damage to infrastructure, buildings, roads or bridges after Russian attacks.
The report does not say whether the drone delivery will be paid for by Germany or by Ukraine itself.
