Experience the wintry splendor of the Tegernsee Valley and enjoy an unforgettable winter hike to the Aueralm, where sun, snow and culinary delights await you.
The Aueralm, majestically enthroned since 1926 at an altitude of almost 1,300 meters above Bad Wiessee, is a true Alpine jewel.
This hut, which is open all year round, even if it is quiet on Mondays, is one of the most popular on Lake Tegernsee.
Although not an insider tip, the Aueralm invites you to visit it after a hiking tour, especially in winter, when the south-facing terrace is flooded with warm sun from morning to night.
An additional incentive is the breathtaking panorama, which includes, among other things, the Hirschberg, Roß- and Buchstein as well as the Wallberg.

The starting point and the climb to the Aueralm
The hike to Aueralm can be started from two different parking lots: the Söllbach parking lot or the Sonnenbichl parking lot in Bad Wiessee.
Both approaches, which lead around 500 meters in altitude over well-signposted forest paths, promise a picturesque route through wintry nature.

Winter magic on the Aueralm
The Aueralm presents itself as a place of peace and relaxation in winter.
The snow-covered path, which creates a particularly idyllic atmosphere at this time of year, leads to a cozy hut where hikers are treated to regional delicacies.
The south-facing terrace not only offers culinary enjoyment, but also a unique view of the surrounding mountain landscape.
Arrival by public transport
For an environmentally friendly journey, we recommend the regional train (RB) towards Tegernsee.
You get off in Gmund, from where a bus goes to Bad Wiessee to the Söllbach stop.
Detailed information about the tour and the Aueralm can be found on the official website: www.aueralm.de.
