His investigation by the Shin Bet and the Central Unit of the Northern District revealed that the accused threw a Molotov cocktail at the police station at the end of December 2023, and that a few weeks earlier he planned to set fire to the commercial area around the refineries in Haifa. The investigation gathered evidence showing that the suspect decided to carry out these actions in light of his support in the terrorist organization Hamas and against the background of the fighting in the Gaza Strip, to which he was exposed on various news channels and in particular on the Al Jazeera network.

The findings of the investigation indicated that the accused acted alone, without an institutionalized infrastructure or connection to the terrorist organization Hamas in the Gaza Strip, and without additional involvement.
It also emerged as part of the investigation by the Shin Bet and the police, that the accused had previously taken part in the disturbances that took place during the "Guardian of the Walls" events on the Temple Mount and in front of the police forces in Shafaram. The investigation revealed a worrying picture according to which the accused was influenced by content showing identification with terrorist organizations and therefore sought to promote serious security activity , which miraculously ended without casualties.
