"I am sorry that members of the Knesset in the faction do not understand the meaning of their role and the responsibility derived from it. The events of yesterday's plenum, in which many of you chose not to come to the votes, will not be repeated," wrote the chairman of the Likud faction in the Knesset, MK Ofir Katz in the WhatsApp group of members of the Likud faction in the Knesset.
"As part of the change of trend, I hereby update that the laws of the members of the Knesset from all coalition factions that did not come to the vote yesterday, have been removed from the ministerial committee for legislation in the coming week," added Katz.
"Also, the laws of committee heads who did not come, will not go up to the plenary next week."

Katz was not content with a general rebuke and named members of a particularly unruly faction: "Unfortunately, I once again discovered that Gamaliel and Danny Danon did not reach the majority of the votes without prior approval and without offsets... I will continue to regularly publish the names of the members of the Knesset who, for an unknown reason, believe that the Likud and coalition discipline did not apply on them, whatever their reasons may be."

"I don't remember such disdain - for me and my work"
Aliza Barashi, leader of the Likud faction, also joined in the reprimand: "We had a difficult day in the plenum yesterday, the work of the plenum is never easy, but when it comes to substantive obstacles - this is acceptable, but it is not possible that while we are calling you to vote we will encounter excuses, or worse, filtering and ignoring absolute".
"In all my years in the Knesset, I don't remember such disdain for me and my work, and especially for the Likud voters, who voted for you so that you would do your parliamentary work in the Knesset. I find myself twisting in front of you so that you can come to the plenum to perform your most basic role," Barashi continued criticizing the MKs. It seemed yesterday that you forgot that the success of the work of the plenary is the success of all of us, as well as our failures."
The heated debate from 2023 between May Golan and Ofir Katz in the Likud WhatsApp group, photo: No
This is not the first time that there has been a fight between Katz and the MKs in the faction's WhatsApp group. In February 2023, it was Sara Mai Golan, who according to Katz disappeared during the votes: "Inappropriate behavior, we all stayed until morning." The minister replied to him: "I was compensated - ready to go to a polygraph and prove that your claims are false." Katz replied to her: "The rest of the judges waited until morning, that's how it works in the plenum, discussions, votes and so on.
But apparently you still haven't internalized how the plenary works.
If you come more often, and not in droves, maybe you'll understand."
