Bayan Khativ, a student from the Technion was suspended today (Thursday) from the university where she studies due to publications of sympathy for the October 7th massacre.

According to the published verdict, Khatib was unanimously convicted after she took a picture of a pan with Shakshuka in her apartment in the student dormitories and then the view of Haifa Bay from her apartment window.

The video is accompanied by the inscription in Arabic "Soon we will eat the rattle of victory" along with the PLO flag and the location indication "Haifa-Palestine".

Two days later, Khatib shared a video of Abu Obadiah, the spokesman for the military wing of Hamas, in which he calls for the destruction of the Zionist project.

"As of this hour, we announce that any attack on our people who are safe in their homes without prior warning will be met, unfortunately, with the execution of one of the hostages live," said the video shared by the former student.

"The Rattle of Victory" by Khatib,

In the lawsuit, Khativ was required to be permanently removed from the university, but in practice the court decided to suspend the student from her studies for two years and remove her from the dormitory for the same period.

"The message coming out of this court is clear: humanity precedes professionalism. A student at the Technion must observe basic norms of human behavior, maintain a respectful atmosphere of tolerance, equality, mutual respect and respect for the institution. The right to stay and study at the Technion is conditional on this," the explanation for the sentence reads.
