Markus Söder spoke to the chairmen of the “Goal for Kids” association about volunteering.
He received a “great surprise” himself.
Munich - Many people in Bavaria do voluntary work.
The “Goals for Kids” association from Ingolstadt gives seriously ill and socially disadvantaged children unforgettable moments.
He is closely linked to the ERC Ingolstadt ice hockey club.
“There are goal sponsorships with donors from the region and children are allowed into the stadium for every home game.
“Thank you for this commitment to a great club with four strong chairmen,” says Bavaria’s Prime Minister Markus Söder in words of praise on Instagram.
Söder praises volunteer work - and receives a “Söderisst” gift from the association
“Volunteering and solidarity are what sets Bavaria apart.
The conversation in the State Chancellery was a great honor - and the #söderisst gift including a cup was a great surprise.
Maybe we'll see each other at a home game.
Thank you very much!” the CSU boss continues.
Seen in the photo: A cup with Söder's portrait and the words "May the force be with you" - Söder is a self-confessed Star Wars fan.

Söder thanks you for the gift - “Very appropriate”
“Is this the new season of The Bachelor?” commented one person, probably looking at the second photo (click to the right in the Instagram post), which shows Söder with four women - the club's chairmen.
In any case, the gift is well received: “A very well thought-out gift.
Very fitting for the person,” someone writes.
The club also receives praise for its work: “It’s really absolutely impressive what you’ve achieved!”
After just two hours, Markus Söder's Instagram post had already received almost 2,000 likes.
It remains to be seen whether Söder will watch an ice hockey game there soon
