Russia repeatedly makes missteps in the Ukraine war.

Recently they seem to be taking on new dimensions.

Russia probably also fires its own territory.

Belgorod – Russia is said to have accidentally bombed its own areas during the Ukraine war.

The British secret service announced this on Telegram based on the independent Russian news channel

It is the fourth case this month in which the Russian military is said to have accidentally dropped aerial munitions on Russian territory.

In total, there are said to have been five such cases within a year, the first of which would have taken place on April 20, 2023.

The news channel reported two cases of FAB-250 aerial bombs being fired at villages in the Belgorod region.

One bomb reportedly hit a farm in the village of Postnikov, while the second aerial bomb hit an urban street in the village of Strelestkoye.

Up to 150 civilians had to be evacuated.

This is not the first time that Russia has bombed its own territory

At the beginning of the year, cases of Russian bombings in their own territories appear to be increasing.

British intelligence wrote that the incidents were likely caused by a mix of poor military aircraft loading procedures and poor execution during missions.

“The increasing frequency of these cases likely demonstrates a degree of fatigue among air and ground forces,” Britain's Defense Intelligence Agency said on X, formerly Twitter.

As early as January 10th, the British Ministry of Defense published a report on the previous cases, also in the border region.

In addition to fatigue, “inadequate training” was also cited, which led to poor tactics during missions.

In the past there have been repeated reports of missteps in Russian warfare, such as the shelling of its own paratroopers in a captured Ukrainian city.
