He's behind the wheel - and can't believe it: When driving through the Bavarian church village of Teuchatz, a driver can't help but be amazed.
Teuchatz – “Manhole cover.
Manhole cover.
Manhole cover” – A video is currently circulating on Facebook that shows a stunned driver.
But not because of the driving behavior of other road users - but simply because of the number of manhole covers in Teuchatz.
“Is Teuchatz perhaps world champion?” More than half a million people see the manhole cover video
More than half a million people (as of Wednesday, January 31st, 10 a.m.) have seen the Facebook video that Radio Bamberg shared.
It shows a driver driving through Teuchatz, a church village in Franconian Switzerland in Upper Franconia, Bamberg district.
Filmed by his passenger, the nearly minute-long clip shows the driver marveling at the number of manhole covers in Teuchatz.
And actually: There are really a lot of manhole covers that the driver passes.
The video also gets a particularly funny touch from the fact that the driver names every single manhole cover they pass - and gets confused several times, while the passenger can't stop giggling.
Does Teuchatz even hold a title?
“Is Teuchatz perhaps world champion?
“Most manhole covers per inhabitant?” it also says in the Facebook title of the video.

“Now you can breathe again” – users understand the driver
When the driver can no longer keep up with the manhole covers, he switches to counting - and is able to breathe again for the first time after nine: "Now I can breathe again," he laughs.
Then we continue with the manhole covers again.
Among the comments on the video there are numerous users who thought the same thing while driving through Teuchatz.
“Definitely, I thought the same thing last night when I drove through Teuchatz,” wrote one user, for example.
“And I’ve been saying this for years that they have the world record for manhole covers,” laughs another user.
How long will it take until there is an episode of “Real Madness” about the manhole cover situation in Teuchatz?
