In the aftermath of the Ebersberg demonstration against right-wing extremism, the AfD filed a criminal complaint against unknown persons.
The focus is on a poster that is said to have mentioned “AFD rats”.
Ebersberg
– The largest demonstration that Ebersberg has ever experienced in its history could have legal repercussions.
At least that's what the district association of the AfD hopes.
According to his own statements, he has filed a criminal complaint against unknown persons on suspicion of insult and incitement.
As in many other German cities, around 3,000 people gathered in Ebersberg on Sunday to demonstrate against right-wing extremism and the AfD at a rally at Marienplatz and a subsequent tour.
The organizers were BUNT STATT BRAUN and Respect@Poing.
During the rally, a male participant was noticed who was clearly holding up a poster with the inscription 'AFD RATS EAT DEMOCRACY',” says AfD district chairman Christoph Birghan from Steinhöring.
According to the AfD Ebersberg's assessment, such statements no longer fall under the constitutionally protected freedom of expression, but instead constitute a punishable insult or incitement to hatred, said Birghan.
AfD wants to have handed over evidence to the public prosecutor
Corresponding evidence was handed over to the public prosecutor.
The dehumanization of the political opponent, which, for example, in Aachen even led to calls to kill AfD members, “is, in the opinion of the AfD Ebersberg, capable of seriously disrupting public peace in our country.”
It is to be feared that these words will also be followed by corresponding actions, says Birghan.
The Ebersberg AfD is resolutely countering this with its criminal complaint.
AfD: “Malicious campaign by the government and mass media”
"The malicious campaign by the government and the mass media, triggered by largely false reporting on an alleged 'secret meeting' in Potsdam, obviously leads to such acts, which were apparently tolerated or even supported by the other participants in the rally," writes the AfD.
The right-wing party therefore expects the members of the Bavarian state parliament, Thomas Huber (CSU) and Doris Rauscher (SPD), who were present at the Ebersberg rally to clearly distance themselves from this undemocratic attitude.
