It's been a long time since the fools took over the scepter in Königsdorf.
That should change on Shrove Tuesday.
The Kinschdarfer Maschkera have organized another parade.
Königsdorf - Colorful parade floats and funny groups of people walking through the town, happy laughter, children picking up sweets on the side of the road: it's been a long time since the fools last took over the scepter in Königsdorf.
This is set to change on Shrove Tuesday, February 13th.
The Kinschdarfer Maschkera have got a lot going - and after a five-year break, they are having a carnival parade through the streets again.
Carnival parade in Königsdorf 2024 - 14 elaborately built floats and six foot groups
With 14 elaborately constructed floats and six creative walking groups, the colorful parade starts promptly at 1:33 p.m., according to the club's announcement.
The participants have been preparing for weeks.
Now they proudly present their lovingly designed floats and costumes.
Hans Köglsperger, head of the Kinschdarfer Maschkera, reveals: An oversized Pumuckl is the highlight of the procession.
Deutsche Bahn also announced its arrival – “on time this once and without a strike”.
Spectators can also look forward to the Königsdorf Christmas tree for Munich, a world rescue plane and the Wolfratshauser Guard, who accompany the carnival parade.

There is also an important innovation: After the association says it has become increasingly difficult to obtain secure approval for the event in the center of the village in recent years, those responsible decided to hold the carnival parade in the commercial area in Wiesen.
“We can meet the requirements there more easily thanks to the self-contained area,” explains Köglsperger.

There is also significantly more space for carnival floats, spectators and supply stands.
The organizers hope that these advantages will result in a “smooth and relaxed carnival procession” that will move around the Gewerbering twice.

Carnival procession in Königsdorf: Maschkera organizes a shuttle bus
Sufficient parking spaces are available on Grundstrasse coming from Königsdorf and from Geretsried in the direction of the airport.
“For everyone who cannot or does not want to drive to the carnival procession themselves, we have set up a shuttle bus from 12.30 p.m. from the maypole in Königsdorf and from the Osterhofen fire station,” says the Maschkera chairman.
RVO buses also run in advance from Königsdorf and Osterhofen to the commercial area.
Too much bureaucracy?
At the local council meeting on Tuesday, Peter Hofberger (CSU) once again expressed his regret that the carnival procession could not take place in town this year and was instead relocated to the Wiesen industrial area.
The fact that the district office did not agree to the closure of the main road, even though there was an alternative route, is “incomprehensible”, a slap in the face to those responsible and volunteers.
“This continues: Gaufest, Patronatfest – what difficulties they have with the authorities.
There really isn't any need for 21 Dixie toilets for a small party.” A little less bureaucracy would be helpful “so that organizing events can be fun again.”
Mayor Kopnicky assured that he had personally advocated for the federal highway to be closed until midnight at the district office.
But the unanimous response of the responsible authorities, which also included the road construction department and the police, according to the town hall boss: “No, we cannot be responsible for something like that.”

Of course, food is also provided: In addition to drinks stands, spectators are spoiled for choice between waffles, pizza, meatloaf rolls as well as coffee and cake.
The Mashkera Bar opens at 1 p.m., and from 6 p.m. a food truck also supplies the celebrants.
Hans Köglsperger emphasizes: “We look forward to everyone who gives the carnival procession in the commercial area a chance – and wants to celebrate with us.”

This coming nonsensical Thursday, February 8th, the fifth season will be ushered in in Königsdorf with the “Foolish Stubn'”: Guests can dance and party to the music of the band “The Halfs” in the restaurant of the Posthotel Hofherr.
