Highlights: After turbulence, the LFI group in the Assembly will adopt internal regulations. Next Tuesday, during their group meeting, the Insoumis deputies must adopt by a vote a text concocted by some deputies. The group has experienced internal upheavals, between criticism of internal democracy, the Quatennens affair, or debate at the time of the Hamas attacks against Israel. NEWS LE PARISIEN. Next Tuesday, during their group meeting, the Insoumis deputies must adopt by a vote a text concocted since

It had been several months that some LFI deputies had been working on “internal regulations” for their group in the National Assembly.

They are now reaching their goal.

According to our information, this week, at a group meeting, Ségolène Amiot, Danièle Obono and even Ugo Bernalicis presented the fruit of their work to their comrades.

Or a framework of rules to govern the life of the group of LFI deputies.

A corpus that has become a necessity for some, as the group has experienced internal upheavals, between criticism of internal democracy, the Quatennens affair, or debate at the time of the Hamas attacks against Israel.

Internally, the group was also marked in November by the sanction decided by the group's office against MP Raquel Garrido, banned from being a "speaker on behalf of the group in parliamentary work for a period of four months ".

The office criticized him “not for defending his ideas, but for an accumulation of repeated actions and comments which harm the proper collective functioning of the group or its members”.

The member for Seine-Saint-Denis, a historic Mélenchonist, experienced it as a “humiliation”.

There remain “open avenues on which we must decide”

“We are voting on these internal regulations next Tuesday,” explains an executive from the group, specifying that the group’s office has given parliamentarians a week to “amend” this text.

“It concerns the modalities of sanctions, what it is based on;

on the rules when a colleague goes abroad too, he must inform the group before for example”, details the same.

On certain aspects, there remain “open avenues on which we must decide,” adds this Insoumis deputy.

In the pipeline for more than six months, these internal regulations were drawn up from “a blank sheet of paper”.

In addition to the effectiveness of the group, it must rationalize exchanges between Insoumis deputies, whose Telegram loop has often heated up in recent months, sometimes descending into violent exchanges.

“This will reduce the frequency of bilateral talks, and allow us to be more efficient in our work,” hopes an Insoumis MP.

For several weeks, LFI deputies have already divided their Tuesday group meeting in two, by organizing an exchange in the morning, on parliamentary subjects, and a more political meeting in the evening.
