The Kreuzholzhausen-Machenstein fire department is well positioned, as was evident at the annual meeting.
The only big problem: a second commander is being sought
Kreuzholzhausen – The Kreuzholzhausen-Machenstein fire department is on the rise.
2023 was successful, garnished with many activities and characterized by intensive education and training.
For the first time, however, there were 13 missions, more than ever before.
But thanks to the good training and the equipment with two vehicles, everything was mastered brilliantly, as Commander Peter Plendl explained with delight.
There are 34 active members in the enthusiastic team.
And in 2023, five young people were recruited, whom youth warden Roman Haas is dedicated to looking after.
Nikolaus Blank, Korbinian Wagner, Katharina Wagner and Alexandra Blank were explicitly welcomed to the meeting.
Peter Plendl’s conclusion: “We are well positioned for the future.”
Chairman Franz Gerer welcomed three honorary members and the three mayors of the Bergkirchen community, Robert Axtner, Dagmar Wagner and Hans Groß.
Schwabhausen's community leader Wolfgang Hörl apologized.
District fire officer Georg Reischl and district fire chief Gerhard Neher were guests for the first time and expressed their greetings and appreciation.
Dagmar Wagner introduced herself to the community in her role as fire department representative.
Everything has been coming together for her since August 2023.
Commander Peter Plendl had to announce the bad news that his deputy Sabrina Fest had resigned from her position and all attempts to fill the position had so far failed.
Hence his passionate appeal to the many young men “in the full house,” as he called it, to take over the office, otherwise the community would have to choose a candidate.
“We have everything here, the premises and the best conditions.”
Service in the fire department also brings fulfillment.
Mayor Robert Axtner, who thanked them for their commitment seven days a week and praised the perfect organization, once again called for a new attempt.
By the way: “We are glad that you exist”.
Peter Plendl is not only an ambitious commander, but also the manager of the Gmoihaisl, which was inaugurated in 2016, including the fire station.
It became a home, but also involved a lot of administrative work.
Since the business was well managed, there is no fee for private celebrations, for example.
Peter Plendl is also called “Mister Defi” because he repairs defective defibrillators.
The operator of the Gmoihaisl is Josef Haas and his team.
Franz Grerer announced the barbecue, various activities, the Christmas party and the memorial service.
And there should be another Schafkopf tournament.
The waste paper collections will continue.
His thanks went to supporters and communities - and the invitation to dinner, as is customary in Bergkirchen.
