At Bichl: two accidents while trying to overtake

Highlights: A 32-year-old woman from Bad Heilbrunn was driving her car on federal highway 472 near Bichl on Wednesday morning. She wanted to overtake a Ford van that was moving slower in front of her in her Opel and then a Volvo truck. The driver of the van did not notice the woman overtaking him next to him. After the collision with the Opel that was driving parallel, he pulled to the right again. However, this ensured that the Slovenian and the Ford also crashed into the rear of the trailer.

Some property damage occurred in an accident near Bichl around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

A total of three vehicles collided with each other on the B472.

Bichl - A 32-year-old woman from Bad Heilbrunn was driving her car on federal highway 472 near Bichl on Wednesday morning.

On the visible straight between the Bichl-Nord and -West junctions, she wanted to overtake a Ford van that was moving slower in front of her in her Opel and then the Volvo truck that was in front of her.

After the side collision, Slovene drives into a truck

When she was level with the pickup truck, it suddenly swerved to the left to overtake the truck.

The driver of the van, a 45-year-old man from Slovenia, did not notice the woman overtaking him next to him.

After the collision with the Opel that was driving parallel, he pulled to the right again.

The 56-year-old truck driver from Untermeitingen (Augsburg district) braked after noticing the dangerous situation behind him.

However, this ensured that the Slovenian and the Ford also crashed into the rear of the trailer.

Van needs to be towed

The accident caused total damage totaling around 10,000 euros.

All those involved remained uninjured.

The car and truck were able to continue their journey and the van was towed away.

The Slovenian had to deposit security with the police.
