A 27-year-old drove his car off the road.
A bridge railing stops the car, but pierces through the housing and seriously injures the driver.
Petting/Waging – A serious traffic accident occurred in the Traunstein district near Waging am See on the night of Thursday, February 1st, which also placed a lot of demands on the emergency services.
A 27-year-old lost control of his car on a curve for reasons that are still unclear.
He was driving from Petting to Waging when his car left the road and collided with a bridge railing.
Bridge railing pierces through BMW
The force of the impact was so strong that the bridge railing pierced through the car, seriously injuring the 27-year-old.
According to the
Vifogra
news agency , a neighbor who was startled by the noise made the emergency call.
An emergency doctor and the fire brigades from Gaden and Waging arrived.
The 27-year-old was trapped in his car by the bridge railing.
The emergency services managed to free the seriously injured man from the wreckage.
He was immediately taken to a hospital.
The police are now investigating the exact cause of the accident.
