Is Olching's carnival procession in danger?
The committee is calling for help: fundraisers are urgently needed to keep the tradition going.
Olching – Inflation and rising costs do not stop at carnival and its enthusiasts.
“In addition to corporate donations and subsidies from the city, the fundraisers on Shrove Tuesday are our main source of income,” says Luca Maier, the first organizer of the committee.
“Unfortunately, in recent years there have been fewer and fewer volunteers who would like to take on this task,” says Maier – even though there is a remuneration of ten percent of the donations collected.
“A dedicated collector can add up to a nice sum,” he confirms.

In order to continue to allow the carnival procession to take place in Olching and to keep this tradition alive for a long time, the Olching carnival procession committee needs help.
We are looking for fundraisers who will parade through the main street with a donation box and sell badges for a donation of two euros.
