The Höhenrain fire department would like to set up a children's fire department.

There are many people interested in this, it became clear at the annual meeting, in which the board was also elected.

Höhenrain

- The 59 active fire brigade members carried out 33 missions last year, as Commander Martin Punscher reported.

The seven women and 52 men were present at nine, some of them very serious, traffic accidents, at ten technical assistance events, five fires, four fire alarm system operations, four traffic security operations and one administrative assistance for the police and emergency services.

In total they were in use for 371.5 hours.

In addition, we practiced diligently.

“For the active team, the respiratory protection group and the youth group, 3,081 hours of practice and training were accumulated through exercises, courses and training events,” reported Puncher.

The youth group, which currently has twelve members, seven girls and five boys, received particular praise.

They completed 1135.5 hours of practice in 29 exercises.

The youth group completed the Bavarian and German youth performance clasps last year.

Successful participation in the youth competition of the fire brigade in the Starnberg district as well as the knowledge test of the Bavarian youth fire brigade rounded off the excellent results of the youth group.

The club chairman Stefan Eisgruber reported on the extensive club life of the Höhenrain fire department.

There was an open day, which was very well received by the population, a joint Advent market by the Höhenrain clubs and a Christmas tree collection campaign by all Berger youth fire departments.

The children's fire brigade is supposed to ensure that the offspring stay strong.

The foundation is planned for February, and there are currently two places left, according to the Höhenrain fire department.

The necessary change to the statutes was unanimously approved at the general meeting.

The work of the first responder group was also outstanding, according to a statement from the fire department.

The first responder group carried out a total of 348 missions in 2023 and the on-call time was 8,593 hours.

This means that the first responder vehicle was 98 percent occupied over the course of the year.

Eisgruber was confirmed as chairman in the board election.

His deputy is Bianca Kraus.

The first secretary is Richard Fink Jr., the second secretary is Heinz Diehl.

Maximilian Punscher was elected treasurer, his deputy is Florian Zürnstein.

The board members are Florian Holbein, Michael Meyr and Ludwig Punscher.

Johann Buchner Sr. was honored for 60 years of loyalty to the fire department.
