A new defibrillator has recently been installed at the Tutzing fire station.
This device, which is publicly available, can save the patient's life in the event of a heart attack.
Tutzing
- As Tutzing's commander Christoph Knobloch reports, the defibrillator is located in a metal-gray box on the east side of the old fire station.

A so-called automated external defibrillator (AED) is a portable device that is used in cases of sudden cardiac arrest to restore normal heart rhythm by delivering an electric shock.
It is designed to be operated by non-professionals as it is often used by first responders or even passersby in emergency situations.
“Early defibrillation is crucial to increase the chances of survival in the event of a cardiac arrest,” the fire department continues.
A publicly accessible AED allows anyone to act immediately in an emergency.
A publicly accessible AED is a significant step towards improving emergency care in the community of Tutzing.
Its purchase resulted from joint work between the Tutzing fire department and the fire department association, the municipality of Tutzing and the Björn Steiger Foundation.
