Defense Minister Yoav Galant said in talks at military forums that the IDF must continue to maneuver towards Rafah in order to overwhelm the rest of the Hamas battalions. Gallant is promoting the construction of the wall together with Egypt and the United States, and it is designed to thwart the smuggling tunnels.
