The Minister of Defense, Yoav Galant, today (Thursday) held a situation assessment in Khan Yunis with the fighting forces in the field, and spoke with the regular and reserve fighters.

The commanders presented to the minister the fighting efforts above and below the ground in the Khan Yunis area and also reviewed the severe damage that will continue to the Hamas battalions in the area.
Gallant told the fighters: "The operation in the Khan Yunis area is progressing with impressive results, the Khan Yunis Brigade of Hamas boasted that it would stand against the IDF, it is dismantled and I am telling you here - we are completing the mission in Khan Yunis and we will also reach Rafah and eliminate all Whoever is there is a terrorist who is trying to harm us.'

The minister added: "I want to tell you one more thing, the operational operation you are doing here in the field, which targets the enemy's targets underground and above the ground, this operation brings the return of the abductees closer because Hamas understands power and when you press him, you sit on his neck, he comes and talking to you.'
According to him, "We will continue this action and in this aspect, your actions, your actions and your fighting are a hundred times more important than all the talk that goes around.
Your action brings the results, this is the main thing, also achieves the elimination of the enemy, and it also results in the fact that at any given moment he asks himself - when do I stop.
And he stops when it's hard for him.'

Gallant also told the fighters: "This is a battle of national determination.
We have to persevere until we complete our tasks.
And it is much more difficult for Hamas, believe me.
They don't have weapons, they don't have ammunition, they don't have the ability to treat the wounded, they have 10,000 dead from terrorists and another 10,000 wounded who are not functioning.
It's an upheaval that is eroding the ability, but you have to get to all the places and you see the things below the ground, above the ground - there are very impressive things here.'
