Fan favorite Reitz remains with the Gladbach audience.
The youngster is extending his contract until 2028.
Mönchengladbach - Bundesliga soccer team Borussia Mönchengladbach is relying on homegrown player Rocco Reitz for the long term.
The 21-year-old shooting star has extended his contract, which originally ran until June 30, 2026, by two years.
The club announced this on Thursday.
Reitz has played in Mönchengladbach since his early youth and made his breakthrough in the professional team this season under coach Gerardo Seoane.
“Rocco Reitz is emblematic of the Borussia path, which we have talked about a lot in recent months,” said sporting director Roland Virkus.
“Rocco’s development, especially in the last few months, is sensational and exemplary, and the fact that he sees his future at Borussia in such a long-term manner is a great signal for the entire club.”
After two loans to VV St. Truiden, the German U21 selection finally made it into the Borussia professional squad and made 19 Bundesliga appearances this season.
“Borussia is my second home.
I love the club.
I love the city.
My family and I feel very comfortable here.
This contract extension feels perfect for me,” said the midfielder.
