Google has announced a series of updates for Gemini, the artificial intelligence on which its ChatGpt rival Bard chatbot is based.

The Pro version of Gemini, halfway between the Nano and Ultra, is also available in Italy, as well as in all markets where Bard was already accessible.

This means that even in our country, Bard will no longer be "powered" by Google's previous model, called PalM2, but by Gemini Pro. To date, Bard can be used as a web interface, even on smartphones, i.e. by visiting the reference.

Even in the absence of official communications from Big G, it shouldn't be too long before the release of an official AI app for various devices.

A further expansion of generative artificial intelligence concerns what Google defines as "Double-check", a functionality which in Italian becomes "answer verification".

In practice, Bard will analyze the sentences contained in the answers provided to users and evaluate whether there is relevant web content that can further confirm what was stated.

In this regard, you will be able to click on the highlighted sentences and learn more about the supporting or possibly contradicting information found in Google Search.

For now, the generation of images in Bard does not concern Italy, as happens with the direct competitor Microsoft Copilot.

Available in English both on computers and in a web version via mobile, the chatbot will be able to help users bring their ideas to life by creating images starting from the textual description.
