Among those arrested are:

  • A 27-year-old citizen of El Salvador, in Los Angeles, convicted of lewd acts with a minor under 14 years of age and possession of obscene material of a minor in a sexual act.

  • 45-year-old Mexican citizen from Dallas, convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a minor and currently prosecuted for illegal re-entry into the United States after his deportation.

  • 35-year-old Mexican citizen from Chicago, convicted of second-degree sexual assault of a minor.

  • A 32-year-old citizen of Mexico, in Denver, convicted of first-degree murder and two convictions for illegal re-entry into the United States.

  • A 21-year-old Mexican citizen from Chicago, convicted of child pornography – possession of visual reproduction on a computer – and whose victim was under 13 years old.

  • A 49-year-old Mexican citizen in El Paso, Texas, convicted of sexual assault.

According to the statement, "in fiscal year 2023, ERO [ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations, which was in charge of the apprehensions] detained 73,822 non-citizens with criminal records. This group had 290,178 associated charges and convictions, with an average of four per individual. These included 33,209 assaults; 4,390 sexual assaults; 7,520 weapons crimes; 1,713 homicide charges or convictions; and 1,655 kidnapping crimes."
