Enough is enough.
This is the spirit in which the elected environmentalists of Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) took the decision to react to the repeated attacks of Mayor Christian Estrosi.
A virulent two-page press release signed by the leader of the group, Juliette Chesnel-Le Roux, was released on Thursday.

The elected official was indignant
at “vile accusations”
of anti-Semitism and complacency to radical Islam from the Horizons councilor of the Riviera capital.
On several occasions, the mayor of Nice attacked the ambiguous and therefore for him complacent positions of elected environmentalists and Nupes.
False, retort those targeted, even if it means distancing themselves from certain positions of certain elected officials and national executives.
“Christian Estrosi uses the carnage for polemical purposes, he continues to accuse all those who oppose him or ask him questions of anti-Semitism.
He does not shy away from any maneuver to distort our words
,” she explains.
The pen exudes exasperation and therefore does not hesitate to evoke

Last week, the mayor decided to file a complaint against the elected environmentalist Fabrice Decoupigny after he responded to him in the middle of the municipal council

(“yes, indeed” in German).
The person concerned had to explain that his mother was German Jewish and that it was a word he used
“regularly”

He was questioned on Monday by the police for “inciting racial hatred”.

, the elected official said that the complaint related to this remark made while the subject of Camp des Milles was being discussed... But the debate turned at that moment on the wearing of the uniform.
Camp des Milles was approached, but much later.
For Juliette Chesnel-Le Roux, he
“cannot grant himself the right to silence his opponents by using lies to discredit them
,” she said.
The boss of the group wants to reaffirm her position.
“Our support for the fight against barbarism and anti-Semitism has always been unfailing
,” insists the elected official, an engineer in addition to her political functions.

“No lessons”
In her vitriolic lines, which would almost recall the content of the clarifications written by the enemy brother of the mayor, Éric Ciotti, the elected environmentalist recalls that she requested the change of name of a Nice high school which highlights
“ an openly anti-Semitic character”
but also that of the metropolitan assembly who is called Anatole de Monzie,
“a defender of collaboration”

“We are still waiting for answers
,” she emphasizes.
In passing, she does not hesitate to target two other relatives of Christian Estrosi who passed through the National Front.
“I have no lesson in living together to receive from a man who let the wolf into the fold
,” she tackles.
In the name of the four elected officials, she calls on him to fight them
"on the fair ground of the debate of ideas [...] but for him to stop insulting me on the basis of remarks that we have never made and that we will never hold out.”
With a touch of provocation, the environmentalists concluded their diatribe with a quote from Jacques Chirac.
The Nice ecologists are not letting go of the mayor and his majority in the legal field either.
Two reports made to the prosecutor led to the opening of an investigation, the last concerning the “Nice climate summit” and the role of the mayor’s wife, Laura Tenoudji Estrosi.
It was this last attack that finally convinced the mayor to respond.
Would personal motives have taken precedence over political considerations?
“The motivations can sometimes be human, but he is very sensitive on the subject of anti-Semitism and does not want to give in
,” reports Christian Estrosi's entourage.
The next municipal council promises to be frosty.
